Overview:
The ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring in Management aims to provide practicing managers with the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform effectively as coaches or mentors as part of their normal work role.
What will be covered in the course?
The qualification is made up of three mandatory units which enable participants to understand, develop and demonstrate knowledge and skills in workplace coaching and mentoring. The course is practically based to complement the individual’s role within the workplace and is tailored with flexible and practical on-the-job assessments. The emphasis on work-based experience maximises the value and transfer of learning into the workplace. The content includes building relationships, values and standards, organisational implications, skills building, goal setting and planning and delivering coaching programmes.

On successful completion you will receive the Institute of Leadership and Management, Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring in Management
How is the course assessed?
Assessments will include: A work-based assignment - preparing a proposal for a management coaching or mentoring programme and explaining how you will ensure best practice in your coaching or mentoring practice. A coaching and mentoring diary must also be produced - assessing your potential as a management coach or mentor and reflecting on your performance. In addition you must attend regularly. This course does not include examinations
